“Creed: What Christians Believe and Why” by Adam Hamilton

Sign Up in Feb!  Season of Lent Begins March 1

We’re all searching. Sometimes the search is easy: simply type a question and the answer pops up. But sometimes our questions are complicated, and the answers are difficult to see and harder to articulate. How do we discover and examine the truths that give meaning and purpose to life? Adam Hamilton believes that some powerful answers are contained in the Apostles’ Creed, an early statement of foundational Christian beliefs.  In this book, Hamilton considers important questions of life, reality, and truth. He explores not only what Christians believe, but also why they believe it and why it matters.  Chapters include:

  1. God
  2. Jesus Christ
  3. The Holy Spirit
  4. The Church at the Communion of Saints
  5. The Forgiveness of Sins
  6. The Resurrection of the Body

Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 1. Begin the Lenten Season in the Sanctuary for a brief service at 6:30 PM, then head over to your home discussion group or downstairs to the Gathering Place.

Community Groups for the Season of Lent - Community groups bring people who live near each other together for conversation and shared spiritual exploration.  We look forward during the Lenten Season to have groups in several towns in our area.  Most groups will meet once a week for six weeks, with a shared gathering on Maundy Thursday in Friendship Hall.
