In recent years, communities like Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Lumberton have been hit hard by hurricanes and tropical storms. For many, they had only just finished putting their homes back together from Hurricane Matthew when Florence made landfall. Homes that were only just restored were again flooded by yet another “1,000-year storm.” For many, the thought of beginning the rebuilding process all over again seems insurmountable. This is where the local church can be a light in the community by offering hope and a helping hand. Our youth will be partnering with local churches in Wilmington, NC, Lumberton, NC, and other affected areas in the Carolinas to provide ongoing recovery support to the community.
