"A Celebration of Hope & Light" Community Tree Lighting Event in Front of Municipal Bldg on Sun., Nov. 28 from 4 - 6 PM
Join us for the second annual "Community Celebration of Hope and Light" Tree Lighting event taking place in the parking lot and the front of our church campus. Sponsored by Community Partners for Hope and the Pequannock Clergy Council. Here are some of the things that will be offered that evening:
- The parade starts at 4 PM from the Middle School with the Solomon Co. lighted trucks leading the way, followed by the fire department bringing Santa to the parking lot in front of the Municipal Bldg. to meet with the children.
- A big mailbox in which children can deposit letters to Santa.
- An Ice Carver will design sculptures with a chain saw.
- A trackless train will give rides to young children from the front and around the back of the church
- The Belle Voce Community Choir will give a brief performance
- FRC Sponsored Live Nativity with Animals on the front lawn next to the Sanctuary.
- Tree Lighting begins at 5:30 PM with a scripture reading of the Christmas story by local clergy and the Pequannock Township High School Band and Choir singing followed by passing the candlelight of hope and peace, then culminating with the Community Christmas Tree lighting by an honoree.
