Open Doors....Open Hearts....Open Hands
Worship for Summer 2010
Summer is upon us! At 8:30 AM, you are invited to worship outdoors in the backyard of Friendly Manse. Bring your lawn chair, spread out a blanket, sit on the manse back porch, or use one of the church’s chairs by the platform area. In the event of rain, we will move indoors to Friendship Hall worship space. Or, join us at 10 AM in the air-conditioned sanctuary, during which our children’s program is offered. Both these worship services will move to a 45-minute summer worship timeframe.
On two Sundays this summer, we will offer only one worship experience. July 4th we will only offer an outdoor 8:30 AM worship service with children’s program during that time. On August 8th, the Pequannock Township will hold its Annual Triathlon, blocking the Newark-Pompton Turnpike and Boulevard until approx. 9:30 AM. Therefore, we will only offer a 10 AM worship service in the sanctuary that day.
Summer Story Hour and Children’s Church are held each Sunday of the summer during our 10 AM service. During the middle hymn, children age 3 through 1st grade are invited to leave for Story Hour upstairs in Room 23/24. Children who have completed 2nd through 5th grade are invited to leave for Children’s Church which is held, weather permitting, at the Outdoor Worship Center. Leaders for Story Hour are needed. Please contact Janet (973-835-1144 x 21) if you can help.
