What if, instead of attending a Sunday worship service, you could be the very hands of Jesus by serving others? We will begin the day at 8:30 a.m., with a blessing and send off. Participants will have 3 hours to “serve” on the various service projects, returning to the church between 12 - 12:30 p.m. for a bbq lunch.

Cemetery Clean-Up
For: Ages 16 & Up
Location: FRC Cemetery
Needed: 12 volunteers
Project Manager: Ken Grimbilas,
Clean memorial monuments in and behind the Veterans Memorial.
Cleaning the Pews
For: Ages 16 & Up
Location: FRC – Sanctuary
Needed: 10 volunteers
Project Manager: Susy Kerber,
Volunteers are needed to vacuum and wipe down pews in sanctuary, sharpen pew pencils, replace connection cards, straighten hymnals and sweep the floor.
Grace Chapel Painting
For: Ages 14 & Up
Location: FRC – Grace Chapel
Needed: 10 volunteers
Project Manager: Amy Muller & Pastor Dave,
Painting walls inside Grace Chapel.
Labor for a Neighbor
For: Ages 16 & Up
Location: 3 locations in town
Needed: 12-15 volunteers
Project Manager: Seth Burgin,
- Project One: Disassemble bunk beds and move to garage, clean picture window at Barbara Ball's house - tools, ladder and cleaning supplies needed
- Project Two: Help Sue Breznak disassemble a backyard structure that blew down in storm.
- Project Three: Visit Pat Horner's house to help with her front porch.
Project Linus
For: Ages 10 & Up
Location: FRC – room to be determined
Needed: 10 volunteers, bring scissors to cut fleece
Project Manager: Bonnie Holmes,
Project Linus is a non-profit organization that provides homemade blankets to children in need. Volunteers will make 10 no-sew fleece blankets for hospitalized children. Some volunteers will be cutting fleece but the only requirement for this project is the ability to tie a knot.
Spectrum for Living
For: Ages 12 & Up
Location: Home is in Wayne
Needed: 2 volunteers
Project Manager: Nancy Sampson,
Decorate small wood crosses with the residents of Spectrum, residents with multiple disabilities, to be distributed to shut-ins in the community.
Positive Plaques
For: Children ages 5 & Up
Location: Friendship Hall
Needed: 15 volunteers
Project Manager: Sue DeBell
Paint and decorate wood plaques to cheer a person in need.
Barn Storming
For: Ages 10 & Up
Location: Barn behind the Manse
Needed: Many hands make light work
Project Manager: Bob Nixon,
Clean out barn and barn attic, moving items to dumpster.
Grace Manse Front Steps
For: Ages 12 and Up
Location: Grace Manse
Needed: 3 Volunteers
Project Manager: Pete Crefeld
Volunteers are needed to scrape and paint the front steps of Grace Manse.
Hygiene Kits
For: Families, children of all ages
Location: Friendship Hall
Needed: 10-15 volunteers

Assemble hygiene kits for clients of Bessie Green Community in Newark.
Visitation to the Homebound
For: All Ages
Location: Various locations
Needed: 10 volunteers

Travel with the team to offer care and encouragement to our FRC friends who are at home and in care centers.
